Located on Interstate 35 between Waco and Temple, Lorena is a great place to live. A quite community with friendly people and outstanding school district.
Lorena was first settled in 1854. Among the first settlers were the Aerl, Williams, Westbrook and Stanford Families. Many of those families' descendants still live in the Lorena area. Lorena was first established as a station on the M.K.T. railroad in 1881 and named after Lorena Westbrook, daughter of pioneer C.A. Westbrook.
